políticas de seguridad
Definition
Security policies are written rules and procedures that a business puts in place to protect its physical property, digital data, and employees from harm or unauthorized access. These policies spell out exactly who can access what information, how employees should handle sensitive data, and what steps the company takes to prevent theft or breaches. Think of them as your business's official rulebook for keeping everything and everyone safe.
Example
If your small retail shop creates a written policy requiring employees to use unique passwords and lock the register at closing time, those rules together form part of your security policy.
Watch Out
Many business contracts and insurance policies require you to have documented security policies in place, so a handshake agreement with your staff is not enough to protect you legally.
