Definition
Inaplicabilidad is a legal action used in some Latin American countries, particularly Chile, that allows a court to declare a law unconstitutional and prevent it from being applied to a specific case. Think of it as a way to argue that while a law may exist on the books, applying it to your particular situation would violate constitutional rights. The court does not erase the law entirely but simply blocks it from being used against you in that one case.
Example
