Definition
A cesión irrevocable is a permanent, binding transfer of rights or assets from one party to another that cannot be undone or taken back once it is completed. The person giving up the rights loses them completely and permanently, with no legal ability to reclaim them later.
Example
If you sign over your rights to a business trademark through a cesión irrevocable, you can never legally demand those rights back, even if your circumstances change or you regret the decision.
Watch Out
Before signing anything labeled irrevocable, have a lawyer review the document because you are giving up something permanently and the law will not let you change your mind later.
